The Fletcher House was built as the Sweedish Tabernacle by Eric Johnson in 1929. It was originally used as a campmeeting facility by seveveral Swedish Methodist churchs in the Greater Boston area. The building replaced an earlier tabernacle that burnt in a fire across the street. Today a group of concerned residents have started a restoration project that will involve replacing foundation beams, rebuilding the front porch and installing a septic system. They are raising funds through the sale of items in a thrift shop.

Thrift Shop
The Asbury Grove Thrift Shop is in full swing! Temporarily located in the Dining Hall, the early March opening has been well received by the outside community and Grove residents.
| People have been coming weekly to check out the new bargains and to enjoy the company of the thrift shop volunteers. |
|
| To date the early opening has generated about $2300 which will be used to replace the porch of the Swedish Tabernacle. Plans are to keep the shop open until the end of April at the Dining Hall location. |
|
| Thanks go out to all the winter Grove residents who have supported this endeavor by volunteering their time and donating items to be sold. |
