Asbury Camp Meeting Corporation
1 Pleasant Avenue South Hamilton, MA. 01982
Dear Asbury Grove Year-Round Homeowner,
Hopefully you are aware that the Town of Hamilton will soon be instituting its new trash removal policy. Asbury Grove residents will no longer have the use of the dumpsters which have been here for a number of years. In fact the dumpster area as it currently exists will be empty as of March 8 when all containers will be removed.
Effective the week of March 10th, the trash
removal company that is under contract with the town will start curbside
collection at each home. Our normal collection day will remain Wednesday, with
Thursday as the alternate day in the event of a holiday prior too or including
the normal pick up day. Each Hamilton residence will be allowed ONE (1) 33 gallon trash bag or ONE (1) 33 Gallon trash barrel picked up FREE per week. Any trash beyond that one free bag or barrel must be placed in a specifically designed
BLUE trash bag ordered by the town with their logo imprinted. The cost of each additional bag is $1.75. The bags can be purchased at CrosbyÕs Market in
Hamilton. The cost is $8.75 per sleeve of 5 bags. For the convenience of Asbury
Grove residents only, we have
purchased a limited quantity of these bags. The cost is the same as if
purchased at CrosbyÕs Market. There is no limit on how many sleeves can be
purchased, however if you wish to purchase them from this office please do so
by check, made payable to Asbury Camp Meeting Corp..
THE TRASH REMOVAL COMPANY WILL NOT PICK UP ANY MORE
THAN ONE BAG OR BARREL UNLESS IT
IS IN THE PROPER PREPAID BAG!
With the institution of this new policy dumpster area will be completely paddle locked and there will no longer be access to that section of Asbury Grove property. That area will now be monitored 24 hours per day by video cameras with recording devises. Night vision cameras have been purchased to catch any illegal dumping or discarding of metals or other debris in or around the dumpster area. The authorities have agreed to arrest and prosecute ANYONE caught in that act whether actually dumping or on caught on surveillance video. The town is very serious about this new policy and expects All Hamilton residents to abide by the rules.
Also there will no longer be any construction debris/remodeling materials left for disposal or pick up (rugs, sheet rock, paneling etc.) in Asbury Grove. It is your responsibility as homeowner to contact the Hamilton DPW to find out what will be picked up and where to take uncollectible materials and metals for disposal.
WEDNESDAY MARCH 12TH IS THE FIRST DAY OF THIS
NEW POLICY FOR ASBURY GROVE RESIDENTS. BE PREPARED!
