Recreation

Recreation is a very important part of life at the Grove. At least two picnics are held each summer for all residents, families and friends - one on the Fourth of July and one on Labor Day.

The picnic area has 15 tables and two charcoal grills. Next to the picnic area are horseshoe pits.

Adjacent to the picnic area is the ballfield. It is big enough for field games or a game of softball.

The olympic size pool was rebuilt in 1999. It has a bath house with showers and bathrooms, steps with a railing into the shallow end, and a diving board. The pool is supervised by a certified lifeguard and is open to the public for a nominal fee. Season passes are also available.

Next to the pool is the basketball court and the tennis court, both resurfaced in 2001. Every Monday night features foot races for all ages from 200 yards to a mile.
