The Tabernacle Restoration Project In the summer of 2008 a group of volunteers started the restoration of the Asbury Grove Tabernacle. The project included resetting several vertical supporting beams with new foundations, rebuilding the outside facade, removing a surrounding chainlink fance, rebuilding the stage, reshingling the roof, painting, improving drainage, and the installation of new lighting. The project was completed with the support of the following organizations and businesses: Essex National Heritage Foundation Hamilton Community Preservation Fund Committee The citizens of Hamilton Dawson's Hardware - Beverly Benjamin Moore Paints Moynihan Lumber - Beverly Mr. Chuck Johnson, Environmental Engineering, Hamilton Massachusetts Historical Commission
