For more than 160 years, Asbury Grove has been a community dedicated to sharing God’s love and serving both our residents and the wider community. Our ministries include the leadership of our chaplain, Bruce Arbour, as well as Camp Meeting Week, vespers services, youth programs, midweek services, Bible studies, Ladies’ Aid, and men’s classes.

Camp Meeting Week is held every August, and has stood at the core of the spiritual life of Asbury Grove for over 160 years as a time of renewal, worship & fellowship.

Chaplaincy
Rev. Bruce Arbour an ordained elder and retired member of the New England United Methodist Conference, brings over 30 years of ministry experience to Asbury Grove. He provides leadership in the spiritual life of the Grove through weekly vesper services, Bible studies, and pastoral care. Throughout his ministry, Rev. Bruce has shared his gifts in preaching, leading group studies, pastoral counseling, fire chaplaincy, youth ministry, puppet theater, and hand bell choir direction.
Vespers Services
Vespers, meaning “evening” is an Asbury Grove tradition, where our community gathers under the pines for a service of song, prayer and messages from guest speakers. Vespers begins at 4 pm in the Vespers Circle every Sunday - Memorial Day through Labor Day.
Children’s Church for ages 5 - 7 is provided during the services, meeting in the Johnson House.
