Recreation

We have a lot of fun in the Grove, particularly in June, July, and August! Note that many of our recreational programs have been significantly modified or postponed during the COVID pandemic, but this page gives you an idea of what recreational activities we enjoy in “normal” summers.

The Pool

Asbury Grove Residents are admitted into the pool free of charge! Guest passes are available for AG Residents' guests: 4 guest passes are $40.00. "Guests" are those residing in a cottage.

Playground

The playground has been recently renovated!

Outdoor Facilities

We have a ball field with a built-in grilling area as well as tennis and basketball courts under the shady pines.

Local Activities

Asbury Grove is located in one of the the most historical regions of the United States, Essex County, Massachusetts. Entire neighborhoods boast wood homes built as far back as the 1600's. Museums with themes ranging from history to art to boat building and more, and amazing Atlantic oceanfront and Audubon nature paths are a tiny fraction of the local offerings within not more than a 1/2 hour of Asbury Grove!

The Essex County Community Foundation features this county background page to get you started. The following are a sample of online venues that provide destination information and event schedules to negotiate your way around our rich environs. Enjoy Essex County and Massachusetts!
